Travel guide to Seevetal

Seevetal is a community of 19 villages. It has about 40.000 habitants, 105 km² and is located south of Hamburg. Maschen, one of Seevetal`s villages offers the biggest railroad shunting yard of Europe. Additionaly there is a conjunction of three highways at one point: A1 Hamburg - Bremen, A7 Hamburg - Hannover and A 250 Hamburg / Maschen - Lüneburg. Seevetal belongs to the rural district Landkreis Harburg and is the most northern community of the Lüneburger Heide (Lüneburger Heath) which is located between Hamburg and Hannover. The Lünerburger Heide is a well known recreation area which has a lot of tourists especially in spring and autumn.
Because of the near to Hamburg Seevetal offers a lot of industrial parks, especially for logistics. The majority of the people living in Seevetal is working in the Hamburg. [edit text] [editors]
