Cape Cost is a colourful town on Ghana's West Coast and boasts three forts. The largest one, the Cape Coast Castle is massive. It was the response of the British to the huge fort in Elmina, just ten kilometres away, and is comparable in size and might. The fort looks like a palace and not like a slave stronghold. The castle is now a museum and one could spend hours browsing through the rooms and soaking the atmosphere. There are also grand views towards the fishing beach and the rest of the town. A circular Fort William on the hill in the town centre looks like a perfect structure, impossible to take. Fort Victoria in the suburbs is usually painted white and was potentially used as a lookout than a defense structure. There is a nice beach in Cape Coast and a few decent restaurants. All other facilities for tourisms are also easily found. [edit text][editors]
