for me it has happened sometimes ,that people critisised on pictures containing a person.

i also belie if a picture contain memebrs of one's family or any special one "posing" it is personal and shoudn't be uploaded in globo.but if the person in the picture has been acsidentaly ,it is ok,it is part of the place that photo is taken.

and sometimes presence of a person adds a meaning to the picture.for example i have taken a photo from old in of neyshabur(i"ll upload it in globo soon)

when i was taking it a car passed the road in front and also a very old man passed the street in the moment i took the picture.but i think this is not bad, bacuse when a turist come to iran he will see the Inn like this!

such cars and such people are part of iran then why hide them? we must be realistic in pictures and hiding some parts is not good.

competition is part of globo.but more i belive here is a place to show the wolrd as it is ,realities.

and this is my own attitude here.

for memebrs who are new ,i think it is not good to add a comment saying they must not have loaded the picture. they will be bothered and discouraged.when i was new to globo i also did not know really whatkind of pictures we must put here.i did mistakes many time but i corrected them and now things are ok.

so it is better to send them personal email and without insulting, with respect to them, tell them and advise them about the picture.

* * *

best regards for all of you.

Hii farnaz,Well I seen the pictures of yours which you are mentioning here ,first of all I want to say that please dont take any comments as matter of person insult, its just the comments which can be good or bad and beleive me such comments really makes us think and improve further.

when I was new to globo i uploaded some pictures of mine and got very less rating and some were deleted ,but slowly Globo people gave me idea as what kind of pictures we should take and all.

regarding your case ,it is not that one must not take pictures which human being in it. For example you have taken a old mans picture and it is fine ,you can take picture of a Iranian market or people and it will be fine ,but when the main theam is some thing different then a person can distract the main theme of the picture.I mean if you want to focus on tents and its color ,better to avoid the man ,if you want to focus the man then capure him fully while sitting inside the tent or so ,and that can be a nice picture.

I hope you will continue to be regular and keep on contributing to Globo ,

and if you are hurted in any means we are really sorry as the comments doesn't mean to hurt any one .

take it as fun and keep in touch

Ravi

Hi Farnaz,

it is absolutly OK if there is a person on the picture. What is not ok, is if she is the main part. The travel object should be the main part. Focus is on travel. People who transport a message on that picture are OK as well. If the picture goes beyond the limits it will be deleted by myself with an explaining message. So if you pic is still online it is OK with the GLOBO guide lines.

Best regards,

andy

I have just uploaded the picture i talked about:

http://www.globosapiens.net/farnaz/picture-old-man-and-the-old-inn..-33469.html

..old mand and the old Inn..i believe this picture ,cotaining that old man and also the cras and the street view, says many things about some realities of iran..the old man shows peace and purity of iranian traditional culture very well..that they live simply and happy.

the cras show the diffrence of life style beween wealthy and poor Iranian people.

and in the back ,old Inn has watched generations, changes and events in this old street.. in scilence..

I want to chime in with Farnaz on one point. Some of the picture comments posted have been very critical without much constructive comment offered. If I were a new member, proudly posting what I thought was a good shot, I would be so discouraged by some of the comments that I would think twice before contributing again. i don't mean to imply that there should be two standards - one for seasoned members and one for newbies, but I do think a bit more tolerance and grace is in order wih newcomers.
