Hello active GLOBO members,

as you guys know GLOBOsapiens in a certain way even better than I do, I would like to ask you to spend some minutes of your time and publish a review about GLOBO on Amazon.com

They do have a nice feature where you can rate webpags with a 5 Star rating system and a comment. Very much like the reports on GLOBO. Getting some good constructive feedback would possibly drive more people to GLOBO and therefore be benefitial to all of us.

Here is the link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009PKOW/002-7733637-8866453#cust-reviews

Thank you for a few minutes of your time.

Best regards,

Andy

PS: Someone wrote a comment in spanish which I do not understand. Maybe one can reply on this topic at GLOBO and write a small translation ? I am really curious what jorgesanchez writes :-)

Hi Andy,

This K.D. Cross person, who has just written a review on Amozon is myself. I never use the name Kenneth except for very official things but it seems I can only call myself David on their review if I couple it with a credit card entry.

BRIT - I didn't find your entry - only Jorge's. It says something about it taking several days so that probably explains it.

ANDY, did you realse that Jorgesanchez is last month's MoM? I think he's probably in the Antarctic at the moment but I'm sure he'll give you a translation if you send him a message when he gets back. I am a great admirer of his adventurous travel and his high quality reports here.

Cheers, David

Andy, here is the best translation that I can give you from what Jorge has written. There may be a few mistakes, but I have the general idea for you:

Globosapiens. A young student from Stuttgart, after returning from an adventure in Western Australia, felt that there was never anything more fascinating in his life than traveling, so upon returning to Germany in August of 2001, he believed that he should start a virtual club in Hamburg, free to members, financed by advertisements from tour guides and hotels, relating real travel stories, more in English than in German, meanwhile including photos. The “reports” are, in general, better than any found in Virtual Tourist, more personalized, and are full of information about hotels and restaurants. The membership is approaching about 14,000 and there is a ranking system among them, but only about 100 are active and regularly rate (comment) the reports and photos that have been introduced (on the site) and pointing things out. Considering that there are about 262 countries and territories in the world, this is more than that now thought of by other travel clubs. Their web page is: www.globosapiens.net

Overall, this sounds extremely complemetary. Just keep up the positive work.

Russ

Hi everybody,

thank you for all your info and the postings. I am curious to read the reviews as soon as Amazon will post them :-)

Bear: Thank you for the translation. That sounds really extremly nice. I just realised that David is right, this was Jorge, our last MOM! Very nice of him. He seems to like GLOBO.

Have a great time,

Andy

PS: I am almost off to my first holiday in 3 Years!! Check out my other posting.
