Hi Globies

I just ask myself why people think Globo is a friendship relationship website. This type of member shows from time to time. Is this the same on other travel sites?

Shakesbeare's Julius Caesar had a thought " he thinks too much- such men are dangerous. .........let me have men about me ---------------such as sleep of nights"

Of couse it could be that anyone dropping by reading our comments on each others photos would perceive a cosy happy community and if we are what is wrong with that?

The word "friends" should be corrected to "network" (a new modern internet term): those that one communicates best and often with. The list should change and be dynamic.

I found that over years MOST of regular GLOBOmembers became my friends but could not add them ALL to my classical list. I deleleted my entire list after "Ravi" did also about a year ago. It was a mistake. Now with the forced new profile scene I needed "friends" again and perhaps that is why also others are using this feature again.

Most usefull: the list helps get contact by only click to another favorite member even if they are not on in the top 100! One does not need to remember the exact name or URL of a members homepage. I like that!

In the real world outside this virtual internet is different. I consider all serious travellers my friends. I have reached out for support while travelling my whole life and was seldom rejected. So also, I help all "serious" travellers that pass by me now too! Those that I meet on my way are my friends. Those that I meet on the internet and have NEVER met personally, are still friends but really only "networkers"?
