andreas Joined: May 02 Points: 8309 Posts: 808 Posted: 2011-03-25 08:23:00    Hello fellow GLOBO members, this night I have upgraded major components of the software which GLOBO runs on. This has become necessary due to the fact that old software is always an easy pray for break ins and new software also brings better performance and new posibilities. For those of you with some tech knowledge, the upgrade included MySQL 5.5 database and PHP 5.3.6 including several libraries. The database schould provide up to 300% speed improvement and better stability. The upgrade of the database and php required major changes of GLOBOsapiens which I have prepared over the last few weeks. Please report all problems that you find on GLOBO which you believe are in relation to this upgrade. You will notice them as they have not been here before :-) All data is perfectly intact and the update went through quite well. All right guys.... No problems experienced. Congratulations on a seamless transition. In forty years experience I have never been through a software transition that has been as invisible to the user while being dramatically successful.
