I am Andy, [AS YOU WANT TO DESCRIBE YOUR POSITION] I’m sure some of our senior members will be happy to answer any questions you may have and you can contact them either directly (click on ‘People’ on the yellow bar to find some) or in an appropriate forum. Of course you are free to keep a low profile, if you wish, but you are very welcome to jump in with contributions – and remember places you know well are somebody else’s travel. There are a number of forum messages that you might find helpful straight away. I think Andy has enough to do with all the tech stuff! I like though the way you have greated some new members recently, each individually and with a personal touch. Russ attemps to greet all his new american members and does it very well, I try too. Attractive new ladies are sure to get greeted by Matt and a lot of other guys very fast ;-) If all the attactive members would occassionally great new members of their choice eg. same country or language or interests then the greetings would be much more personal and effective. Anyway we do it, I think first contact to members is important. Members who feel ignored just dont come back! If that's not a fairly simple job, forget it. The idea of Andy having to react each time we get a new member would indeed be ridiculous.
