Vik is a wonderful little village on the South Shores of Iceland. It is located around 200km east of Reykjavik. There are many picturesque areas of the village, but it has the reputation of being the wettest place in Iceland. From here you can climb glaciers, scramble behind waterfall, or walk on the black sand beach; a perfect way to spend a few hours. Here along Circular Route 1, you’ll find a petrol station, a café and off course toilets for that long journey onwards up the south coast. [edit text][editors]
