In the Punjab region, Amritsar is home of the Sikh and where they return as pilgrims. In the centre of Amritsar you can find the Golden Temple, a wonderful building that has been adorned in gold.
One of the things that make it great is that the temple sites on a little island in the middle of a lake that has fish swimming around owing to the fact that lake is refreshed by a underground spring.
The town of itself isn’t very exciting, but the Golden Temple more than makes up for that. [edit text][editors]
