I agree with Dave below, the hostel at Jericho beach is in a beautiful area right at the beach. But I'm sorry I cant say what it looks like inside!

I know Vancouver and the sites well, but I don't know the hostels since I live there with my family and I have never had to stay in one! If you tell me where the hostel is located I can tell you whether it is a nice area to stay in.
I am studying in Sweden and I will be here until July so I wont be in Vancouver when you will be there. I hope you have a great time thought! Vancouver is soo beautiful. If you want any tips on where to go just let me know and tell me what you enjoy doing and I will be glad to help!
There are buses not far way to take you downtown (30 minutes) and you're walking distance to Spanish banks which is the most beautiful part of the city.

nice to see ur message,and equally gald to know tht u had a nice experience in India,
well it is a vast country and all sort of people are there,if one is bit careful then will surely have a nice trip
