5 days/4 nights, 4* hotel accommodation
Russia’s biggest city will remind you of the beauty and grandeur of the country’s Imperial past.
DAY 1 Arrival to Moscow, meeting with a guide at the airport. Short tour of the city by bus. Transfer to "Cosmos" hotel (4*).
DAY 2 Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion around Moscow. You will visit the Kremlin (residence of Czars and Patriarchs), The Armory Museum (collection of Gold, silver, jewelry, Faberge eggs, carriages and Czarist thrones), Red Square, Lenin’s Mausoleum, Alexandrovsky Garden (the very center of Moscow and, indeed, of Russia). Lunch at a restaurant. Second part of excursion: Novodevichy Convent and Cemetery (a pre-Romanov monastery hidden in the center of Moscow). Return to the hotel (at about 5pm). Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 3 Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion around Moscow. You will see Lenin`s Hills (highest area in Moscow offers tourists with the best views of the city), Moscow State University, Victory Park (memorials of the Patriotic War of 1812 and World War II). Lunch at a restaurant. Second part of excursion: Kolomenskoye (summer residence of Czars since the time of Ivan the Terrible). Return to the hotel (around 5pm). Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 4 Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Sergiev Posad, a traditional orthodox center, graced by the magnificent Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra, with a blue and gold dome. Built in the 14th century, it was the official seat of the Patriarch for many years, even under communist rule. It holds a wonderful collection of icons. Lunch in Sergiev Posad. Return to Moscow. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 5 Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Transfer to the airport.
