This has been great! They are involved in microfinance for poor and marginalized women and they do many talks to women self-help groups about a wide variety of topics (health issues, domestic violence, agricultural issues, HIV, children's rights etc). They also have a remedial school in the slums of Puducherry where they teach marginalized children. Currently they are looking for more volunteers and interns. I have been involved in their fight for women's right - a big issue in this country. We started a 'Committee against Domestic Violence' to help women seek help (did you know that 40% of Indian women experience domestic violence? And divorce is no option... Every day 16 women in India die because they have been murdered by their husbands.. Many issues to work in!) Since you can work for them directly, it is not expensive at all to work for them.
