Galway the "City of the Tribes" is the Capital of the West of Ireland. Tracing its origins back to 1124, Galway has retained mush of its Medieval layout and architecture. Nowadays it is known as a centre for culture and the arts. the presence of nearly 20000 students from NUIG and GMIT ensures a youthful exuberant atmosphere.
