Travel guide to Torino

Reflections in the river Po
Reflections in the river Po
Owing to its geographical and physical locations, Turin can be very cold, but there is no better way to warm up than to visit one of the numerous cafés and try a cup of rich hot chocolate.

Turin is a regal city, which used to be the capital of Italy. It was built by the Romans and is set out in a linear grid. Now, it is more of an industrial city, and is a home to Fiat cars. The weather can be quite harsh and grey in this area. Turin has many palaces, for example: Palazzo Madama and Palazzo Reale.

Turin will host the 2006 Winter Olympics, and will in turn recreate itself. The city is a gateway destination to recreation in the Alps. [edit text]  [editors]
