Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal
If you want to mortgage your home, this is a fantastic hotel to stay in. I went there for dinner, and it was just beautiful more
Peggy Guggenheim Museum
Beautiful collection of modern art (cubism, surrealism, magical realism, futurism) exposed in Peggy's former retreat 'Palazzo Venier dei Leoni'. A very fine selection of the best-of-the-best by Picasso, Braque, Miró, Malevich, Kandinsky, Léger, Klee, Magritte, Dali, Pollock, Chagall and many others. One of the best museums I've ever been to! more
Harry's Bar
Do not forget to drink a Bellini for 14 euro in this renowed place... Hemingway and many other legends did this before. more
Gondola on the Grand Canal
The gondola ride we enjoyed was not nearly as much as a splurge as we thought. We reserved ahead of time, by using a Gondolier's Cooperative (as we strolled around Venice in other moments, many other gondoliers called out to us as we walked over bridges, or along canals, and offered much higher prices!). We also shared the ride with two other couples, and had a bottle of Prosecco to share around as we swayed along the water viewing the Grand Canal as I always dreamed it was meant to be viewed and experienced by the rich noblemen of the "Serenissima" Republic. Definitely a unique and unforgettable experience. more
Hotel Airone
Clean and nice dorms and double rooms with clean shared bathrooms just in front of the train station.
I like the location cause it allows you to walk around some different areas of Venice ... out of the multitudes of tourists. Reasonable prices for Venice. more
easycont@ct, the internet point
An internet cafe, not much to say. I visisted the website and it's in Italian, so the best bet is to actually be in Venice to see for yourself. more
