Or am I just a silly American? :-0 jacko1 - Mar, 08 2009 11:03am Not silly at all Jill, they are shy but friendly creatures and do great job disposing of garden pests, slugs etc, they will come and accept food but they area wild animal and should be left to roam, they have almost no natural predators but many are killed by cars on our country roads as they are nocturnal and hard to spot, they often hibernate in unlit bonfires so we are taught to look in these before lighting.
