On a nice Sunday I drove to Kandersteg (1200m), took the cablecar to Sunnbühl (1900m) and then I followed the almost level path through meadows with plenty of alpine flowers till Spittelmatte. There I left the main path, crossed a stream and climbed on a narrow trail through a larch forest with a luxuriant and colorful vegetation. Then the marked trail leads again over meadows to Unter Tatelishorn (2497m), where the trail and also the vegetation ends. Here you can already enjoy a beautiful view to the surrounding mountains and the deep valleys below.
Ober Tatelishorn (2962m) one could describe as a heap of rubble. There are traces of a trail in the rubble, but they are almost invisible and walking is arduous. When I finally arrived on the summit after 4 hrs, the view was rather disappointing because meanwhile it was cloudy and misty and the high peaks were not visible anymore. The clouds became darker and after taking some pictures I decided to descend before the visibility becomes bad. Halfway down the sun came back and all the high peaks appeared again.
And now let's climb, hope you will enjoy it.
