I was in that wonderful University City of Oxford for nearly 24 years till June 2003 when I took the bold,exciting and challenging decision to return to Kerala (where I was born and brought up) to do things my mind always wanted to do, viz to work with the less well off in Kerala. One sad thing was undoubtedly the pain of leaving Oxford !! Though I was not connected with the University in any way (was an accountant in public practice) Oxford rapidly became the city I liked most in the entire universe soon after my arrival there way back in 1979. The place has class written all over it. The pubs, book shops, Colleges( some like St Edmund's Hall more than 700 years old !!) Univerity parks, High Street (which is acclaimed as on of the finest in Europe) etc are wonderful. On X mas day 2002, I went for a long walk around Oxford and took some fotos of the empty streets with mixed emotions. Here they are. Hope u enjoy them. - Kris Kandath
