Katrina, very amazing! I see one needs a tripod, what film did you use or recommend? Agree, this must be one of the most beautiful things to see in life or to photograph. Munich: once every 4-8 years!

... never as clear because of city light-smog and anyway not as strong in lower latitudes. I hope still to experience this, expect better than seeing a comet or solar eclipse?

Northern lights is caused by electrical particles from the sun hitting the Earth's magnetic field., So it isn't a cloud lit up with green, thats why they're sooo spectacular;)

What an extraordinary picture. You have even captured the larger stars in your photograph. Do you have the shutter, lens and F/no. details please i would try some more sky pictures?
