Welcome to this friendly site. The membership here is genuinely international, as you will see if you look at recent contributions.
I have recently put a guide about using the site for new members in the FAQ forum - if you go there i should welcome any suggestions for improvement.
Of course you can keep a low profile if you really want to but it's always good to see a new member joining in.
