Kani-Kombole is a small village in the Dogon Country. It is located at one of the ends of the Bandiagara Escarpment. It is a conservative village boasting a lovely small mosque, countless mud-brick granaries, ancient Pygmy huts, a baobab grove, a mud-brick manufacturing pool and workshop and a very friendly community. One of the families opens their house for visitors are a guesthouse. There is no electricity in the village, there is no hotel, no shop and no public transport. One could hire a donkey and a cart to move around the area, but hiking is also great. Kani-Kombole is a decent gateway for the entire Dogon Country. [edit text][editors]
