Valletta is a very small capital city, with a population of about 6,000. It is beautifully situated on a peninsula between Marsamxett Harbour and Grand Harbour. The whole city is a UNESCO world heritage site, and has a lot of interesting sights, for example Fort St. Elmo and St. John's Co-Cathedral. Other sights well worth visiting are the Grandmaster's Palace and the Upper Barrakka Gardens. [edit text][editors]
