Loma de Flores is a small village (called a ranch in Mexico) in the southern part of the state of Guanajuato. Over 50% of the adult male population has crossed into the United States (undocumented) to find employment. There is a bustling economy in the town, with numerous small shops and other entreprenours. The elementary school has a new roof and some painted walls, thanks to a group of students that I helped lead.
During this past month in Loma, the days had a temperature of about 90 degrees F, and the evenings were about 45 degrees. I was told that the temperature is much warmer in the summer. [edit text][editors]
