One of the most recent archeological finds in Mexico was near the village of Plazuelas, near Pejamon in the state of Guanajuato. This site was inhabited between the years 500 - 900 A.D. by an unidentified civilization. Many clues have been found that help the scientists to understand the lifestyle of the inhabitants, but no one can identify the culture. No one knows how they began nor where they went.
The archeological site was scheduled to open around April 1, 2005, however, I have heard nothing from my acquaintances in the area about the opening. At the present, less than 20,000 people have ever seen this site. It is believed that this site will eventually surpass that of Chichen Itza. [edit text][editors]
