San Jose is another of the numerous small towns (called ranches) that exist in Central Mexico. This town is located in the south-central part of the state of Guanajuato. It is the home to two famous football (soccer) stars in the Mexican League. The town has several local shops and vendors, but it is mainly a neighbor of the larger ranch called Loma de Flores.
Living conditions in this town are harsh. People build their homes brick-by-brick with the money that males send home on a weekly basis while working in other countries. Most of the plumbing is of poor quality, and frequently runs directly into the local river. [edit text][editors]
