There are four major forms of traditional Japanese theatre that are famous - Noh, Kyogen, Kabuki and Bunraku (puppet theatre). I suspect that the slideshow that you will see will probably more be conisidered junior Kyogen as the kids in part were shouting quite loud and was a bit slapstick. The part of the story that I saw in precise was a man goes fishing and snags a beautiful woman, so his friends tries that same thing, but instead he gets a - I shouldn't spoil the ending! Kyogens usually occurred during the intermission of Noh plays and were loosely based in the play being performed. Unlike in Noh plays, the performers do not wear masks and could be both male or female as the role dictated.
