My wife and I travelled to Italy in the fall of 2003 for the third time in three years. Previous visits were to Tuascany (Siena, Firenze, San Giminagno, Cortono), Venizia, and The Cinque Terre. We had truly enjoyed the previous trips and looked forward to spending a week in Rome enroute to Malta. We weren't dissapointed.
We managed to visit all the main sites but also took the time to explore hidden side streets and fell in love with the real Rome!
