Okaukuejo is the oldest tourist camp within the Etosha National Park; it also serves as the administrative home for the park. The facilities are great with a swimming pool, bar, restaurant etc; as well as a post office, convenience stores and museum. Also if camping then there are plenty of showers, toilets and kitchen facilities.
The beauty of this area is that there is a permanent watering hole which is floodlit, so that day and night it’s possible to watch many of the park's wildlife coming to drink. While sitting there one can see elephants, black rhino, leopards, lions, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, foxes and numerous species of birds. It is also a perfect place to share some time with that special someone. [edit text][editors]
