Cell phone use on aiplanes

I do get pissed off at people who talk on them especially while driving, standing in line for a service (bank etc..) quiet places.. library, bus etc.. I don't want to hear other peoples conversations and they are usually loud and uninteresting (except for the oriental guy who was trying to get a date with a male escort, going into explicit detail what he wanted, and then finally realizing he wasn't whispering!!!) All in all, they are good for emergency's but that's about it. I know there are passengers that wish they could sleep the whole way or be put into a deep sleep with anaesthetics! Cell-phones should be allowed since one third of all paid passengers are working (on business travel). Exception though is for takeoff and landing manoeuvres where a small safety hazard exists like we discussed at www.globosapiens.net/topic-c.d.-players-on-planes_36_1394_0000.html lately. Also, use of cell-phones have helped solve some hijacking and crash scenarios.
