Travel tips and destination reports

However, there is still a significant number of members whose home city has no destination report. I notice that you have posted many new destination guides but cannot work out how you find these places on the database. I can upload travel reports, pictures and travel tips by searching via the box on the left hand side but if I want to write a destination guide on a place that has no existing reports or pictures or tips I can't work out how to find it. I have used the Guides function in the yellow tool bar but this only seems to return places for which there is existing information. Have I missed something somewhere, is there an easy way to find places that no one else has yet commented on? I'd appreciate any advice you can give me. For the UK I'm afraid there's no answer at all, unless the place begins with A, B or an early C [in which case it will probably show up, as you say, once a tip, photo or report is done.] If a place is not on the index for travel tips or photos, you can suggest it be added to the index - see right when you have clicked on travel tips. This sometimes makes it available on the yellow bar as well but usually not. Peoples' home towns usually, though not invariably, have hyperlinks on their home page that do allow for destination reports. Incidentally, although it doesn't help with destination reports, you can find all the places for which a tip has been done by clicking on tips on the yellow bar, then get the country and if click to find a city, they will all appear on a drop-down list. When this subject last appeared on the error board, Andy said it was a huge job. I guess most people must have decided, as I did, that there's enough to get on with. In the yellow bar you will find the item: travel search: Type in your search! By clicking on type in your search you can type the the name of the place you would like to write a destination report. If you type in watford (your hometown) and hit enter you will be brought to this page: http://www.globosapiens.net/united-kingdom-travel/Watford.html Just left of your picture "the long road home" you will find this text: You can change this text and add an introduction on Watford. Help us to build a reliable and interesting travel resource on Watford. Thousands of people around the world are already publishing on our travel community. It's as easy as pie! [edit text] by clicking either on edit text or on change this text you will be brought here: http://www.globosapiens.net/subapp_content/index.php?fa=a&pid=2256825 Thats where you can add your destination guide to the database. Martin, thanks for your information as well, especially the links in your post on the FAQ forum. There are a number of places that I have been to and have some information on but not enough for a report. So now I may be able to use the destination guide as well as travel tips.
