Cuzco is a UNESCO-inscribed city in Peruvian Andes. It has been built on ruins of older Inca city, evidence of which is clearly on the streets, bars and restaurants, which have rooms on the street or basement levels. Cuzco is among Peru's most often visited place. It is a gateway to the many Inca ruins in the area, including the legendary site of Machupicchu, which is connected with Cuzco by trains. Cuzco contains the largest number of colonial buildings that any other city in Peru. It is hugely picturesque and and its nightlife is fabulous. It is a hotspot for meeting travellers, many of the intrepid and adventurous. Cuzco has an interesting museum, which is worth visiting.
