Pod Jaszczurami
Pod Jaszczurami is a cool place, with lots of you people around; my guide described it as bohemian culture for a university lifestyle. I went on Saturday night and MTV was doing some promotions it was nice. more
Klezmer-Hois
I loved this place, it had a pleasant pre war feel to the place. From the outside to the inside it seems authentic. Concerts are organised here, there is a restaurant and hotel. more
Ariel
Another great Jewish restaurant, located next door to Alef. There were three restaurants here all named Ariel, with this one finally retaining the name. Yet again a period restaurant, with the decor dating back pre World War II. The menu is more varied with a mix of Polish and Jewish and the classical dishes are avaialable Pierogis, Dumplings, to Borscht, or Cold Beet Soup. more
Ristorante Portofino
Whilst not the prettiest looking restaurant from the outside, this is a great little restaurant/bar in Cracow. It looks fairly small, but has seating around the back of the bar, which makes it nice and cosy. In the middle of the room is an antique iron heater, with blazing fire, this is a nice to spend an evening. more
Alef
This is a wonderful restaurant located in the heart of Kazimierz, the Jewish quarter. It is decorated with period European furniture, painting and has a bohemian atmosphere. The average meal cost around 45 zloty or £8. The food is kosher and very tasty, and you have to try the classical dish of fillet herring with sour cream. Another nice thing about this restuarnt is that they have live music every evening from 8pm. more
