Ellora/Ajanta

Posted: 2006-12-29 05:19 PM
Megha,
I want to thank you for posting some notes with detail on my Ellora photos. I truly enjoyed both Ellora and Ajanta, although my personal preference is for Ellora. I wish these sites were more publicized - very few people have heard of them in the States. I only knew of them because I studied them in Art School many years ago. I had a difficult time convincing my travel agency to book us there after our tour of Rajasthan. I found both sights absolutely marvelous!

Thanks for your posting.

Trust me there is more in the world that I would love to explore - but as for me (like most people), $ would be the issue so I try to tackle that by budgeting on a trip by cutting down on accomodation. I would also like to explore Europe, India - at the moment I'm interested in exploring northern India like Udaipur, Jaipur, etc. if time and money permits. I think you've already lucky to be staying in a large country (unlike me in Singapore) where you'll still have places to explore in your own country!

Yes, the 12 Apostles is a great place to relax and just enjoy the far and distant horizons..

So tell me more about your city, Thane?

Cheers

Hi, I enjoyed your pics of the tea plantations. It looks so lush! I also see that you also posted a picture of an Epidendrum orchid in 'Look for Jesus in this flower'. I love to rear orchids.. I have one posted up too but yours is has nice red colour. Find the pic on this link : http://www.globosapiens.net/suhadis/picture-epidendrum-orchid---botanical-gardens-17988.html.

Cheers

NA-MA-SKAR
...languages and cultures around the world have always interested me and have collected books and web-links over the years. There is relativly little written about Marathi on the web other than in original script but quite a lot of music, an international medium atleast.

Welcome to the wide world of GLOBO and its cultures and places. The east is opening up (perhaps it always was) and now ever more appreciated.
