Travel guide to Entre-Deux

The village of Entre Deux is situated 12Km North East of Saint Louis in Reunion. The village is situated between two rivers: "Le bras de Cilaos" and "le bras de la Plaine", so that how the village got its name from ("between the two"). This village still have its charm with old Creole huts, as delightful as each others. Typical house from Reunion with metal frieze under the roof, it puts harmony to the face of the house, this house looks full of conviviality.
Lots of banana plantations as well as sugar cane can be found but before the village use to have lots of coffee trees all destroyed by a strange illness. Most visitors pass through the village to go the Dimitile at 1837m, from the top you can see the Cirque of Cilaos, on the path are lots of exotics plants, and you might be lucky to see a "paresseux" which is a Chameleon in the Creole dialect. There is also a special path for 4x4 vehicles. [edit text] [editors]
