Tioute - Morocco, Taroudannt This locust is no longer in flight, but instead has been impaled by a Shrike (Butcher Bird) upon the point of a palm frond, to be eaten at a later time. The floor of the palm groves were carpeted in dead locusts, after aerial spraying of the swarm, before it was able to fully destroy the oasis of Tioute.
