Amsterdam - Netherlands, Noord-Holland The front of the Central Station is huge, all red brick with the vertical stone columns typical of late 19th C Dutch architecture. Symmetric triptychs flank the entrances with classic Greek-style figures ( lower right of image ).
The station is to be reconstructed in the style of a modern airport over the next few years. Hopefully the facade will survive these 'improvements'.
