Budapest - Hungary, Budapest The monumental square at the center of Budapest was constructed between 1896, the 1000th anniversary of the Magyar conquest, and 1929. It is comprised of two quarter circles surrounding a 36 meter corinthian column surmouted by a statue of Gabriel archangel.
