Port Washington North - United States, New York The Nature Walk included some fascinating information. Here, the sassafras plant, the source of root beer flavoring, is pretty unique among North American plants - its hand shaped leaves are different even on the same stem. They may be a closed fist, an extended thumb, or extended fingers.
