information about turkey  GoremeTurkey, NevĀ¶ehir
From some vantage points one can look deep into the castle through the former residences which appear open to the elements. Over the years, the soft tufo has been eroded by wind and rain with landslides shearing off the outer walls of the rooms. Shortly after the castle was depopulated in the mid 20th C, a huge landslide opened to view large segments of the interior. Today one can still walk up the main street to the apex for amazing views.
