Dresden - Germany, Sachsen The most famous and probably most photographed structure in Dresden features August's Polish crown supported by the four Polish lions atop the famed green dome. Besides the coat of arms, statuary by Permoser is comprised of Greek gods, satyrs, and nymphs like much of the rest of the palace. August likened himself to the gods ( the Goldener Reiter features him in a Roman toga ) and his sexual prowess was legendary.
