I am planning on spending between 3 and 5 months in south america starting around january time I already have my flight sorted into santiago and one out of buenos aires. All i need to find out is who does cheap internal flights within south america and if anyone has any recomendations. I am planning on flying from either peru or bolivia into brazil maybe recife. Any advice or links or experiences would be gratefull received.

Im doing similar-flying into santiago at the end of jan, although I plan to travel right up through Sth and Cantral America over 6months.
Iv done quite a lot of research into flights inside Sth Am etc, and found that booking from here(UK) is pricey with everyone. My friend who I am meeting in Santiago reckons cheaper "late deal" flights will be available over there nearer the time.
In many parts of South and Central America, there are local "travel agents" who will be glad to assist you with flights and/or bookings. These "agents" can often be found in some of the nicer hotels and resorts of the area. One does not necessarily need to be registered in the hotel to take advantage of the opportunities.
