Especially interested in backpacker strips, cheap places to stay. To be honest I can't remember the name of our hotel, it had large vaulted ceilings which for some seriouly close noises from the neighbours when trying to sleep. I just picked it out of the Lonely Planet & phoned & made a booking(no email) & it was cheap. See my story on Mexico City for places to see as there are too many to list, my favourites the pyramids of Teoteohuacan, Shrine of Guadalupe & the National Musem. Located close to the zocalo. It's not the cheapest one but u get a great breakfast!! Defenitely worth it! For a dorm it's about 100 pesos and for a private we payed 270 or something.... What's nice to visit is the Chapultepec parc. Easy to reach by metro. I really enjoyed that place, it's like an oase of quietness within this hectic city. Have fun!
