I think I would prefer something like SERVAS (http://www.servas.org/), where at least the applicants (both hosts and travelers) have to jump through some hoops (application, in-person interview, essay, 2 letters of recommendation and a registration fee). This web site sounds tempting, but so risky. There seems to be the minimum of info on your profile on Globosapiens and I have checked out your recommended website which also seems to be very new also.
