Travel guide to Cazorla
Cazorla
Cazorla
Cazorla is well out from Ubeda in the province of Jaen and therefore pretty remote from any airports. It's on the edge of the Sierra de Cazorla y Segura. The Sierra is less high than the hills of the Sierra Nevada and less extensive than the Sierras of Ronda and Grazalema but it is one of the most picturesque mountain areas in AndalucĂa. There are two buses a day into the Sierra so that if you want a walk you have to be up early and to get back by about 16.00 [check recent bus times!]
The town of Cazorla is very attractive indeed and deserves to be better known, though perhaps it would lose part of its appeal if it were. The mountain end of the town lies between two castles and there is a fine walk up to an ancient monastery and the hill top of Gilillo. [edit text]  [editors]
