Casa Pilar Alto Illora
I visited the owners of this new hotel being created in a huge old house in the centre of old Illora. It's being made in a Andalucian rustic style but with really modern bathrooms - a lot of attention to detail. It's just a very small hotel and family run, so you get the personal touch. Very handy for Granada (30 minutes or so by car) plus touring Cordoba, Seville, Jaen etc etc. Opens early June and their rates look very good - much cheaper than staying in the city of Granada itself plus you are staying in amongst the Spanish, who are really friendly people !!
