Málaga must be one of the most visited cities in Spain - or to be more accurate, it's airport must be one of the most used - as it serves the Costa del Sol. Many go straight to their resort and don't even visit the city. This is their misfortune as, although it hardly compares with the great three [Sevilla, Ganada and Córdoba,] it has much to be seen.
Tha Alcazaba is a splendid old Moorish buiding and there's a lift for those who find steep ascents difficult. The Cathedral is a most imposing building and near to it is the Museo Picasso with many pictures given or on long lend from the family. Check the opening times - those given on its website might prove optimistic rather than truthful!
One great place for a visit is reached by taking the number 2 bus from the north side of the Alameda to its terminus and then a short walk. This is the Jardines de la Concepción. Another, with fabulous views, is the Gibralfaro, reached by the 35 bus. [edit text][editors]
