Although Segovia's Cathedral and its Romanesque churches are interesting enough, there are two sights in the city and one just outside that are special.
First must be the Roman aqueduct, passed between the station and the centre. This rates along with the very best Roman remains anywhere. Next, at the top of the city, comes the Alcázar, a building looking a bit too like something out of a fairy tale for some, glorious to others.
The twelve-sided chuch of Vera Cruz, outside the walls, which can be observed from a small park area just outside the Alcázar, is remarkable.
Visitors can also take the short bus ride to San Idlefonso de la Granja where the palace is modelled on Versailles. [edit text][editors]
