Teruel is a city and a province in southern Aragón. Until fairly recently it was not visited by many tourists, although it is probably the very best place in Spain to see Mudejar architecture at its most exquisite. The two towers of El Salvador and San Martín are superb, as is the ceiling of the Cathedral and the interior decoration of San Pedro, which is the mausoleum for the Amantes [Lovers] of Teruel.
However, not everything in the city is Mudejar. The Provincial Museum [excellent and free] and the aqueduct/viaduct are Renaissance, and there is a large amount of modernist [art nouveau] architecture.
The city is very high (in altitude) and very cold at night! [edit text][editors]
