How about:

- editable photo information? (I've got some typos in them)

- off shore info

- links and link admissions from members, to anhance the community spirit.

Cheers,

Maurice

Editable photo information will come up in the future. This is for sure, I am already working on this. All the other things are inside the huuugge idea pot :-)

This function does alredy exist. Just hit the small letter on the right of the images and off you go!

Cheers,

Andy

Yes, I have just uploaded some pictures and realised that I am unable to make corrections to the title/comments. I think this would be a valuable added feature.

Next, I am a highlighted travel writer for another popular travel website, and what makes me want to visit the other place more than Globo, is the friendly photo uploading engine over there. At Globo, it is very cumbersome to upload photos because one has to go through many steps to just upload one. This is a very major roadblock. Over there, for example, I can upload up to four pictures at a time, including adding individual location/title/comments.

Just my two canadian cents' worth. :)

Afterthought: maybe Globo was designed more for travel writing than for photography? In which case my suggestion as a professional photographer should just be taken lightly!

Lover of just five things - travelling, photography, thick crust pizzas, the xy-chromosomes, the Italians and the Dutch. Well, I can't count, so?

Another thing about photos and postcards. The photo display function is currently a tad unfriendly because only 4 (or 3?) of them can be viewed simultaneously on that vertical menu with direction arrows going in every direction. There are many ways out there to improve that, like perhaps screening 8-10 pictures simultaneously, or coming up with more definitions, eg instead of just viewing pictures by countries, perhaps we could view by area/cities/landmarks, etc. Then we can all zoom in and get what we want. This helps for postcards as well, and of course, that will directly increase traffic to the already semi-professional site!

you are right about the album inzaghi. A intend to do something similar you suggested can be found here:

I understand that most of the pictures are currently located inside the city folder. The next upload engine will allow more categories, just to select by a single click.

Hey andy, the gallery on that link seems really cool. I am really looking forward to it when it materialises. As I said, it's already a very good site - very well planned and designed, pleasing to the eyes - it just requires a little fine-tuning to please us difficult people! ;)

PS. any chance we could slightly increase the font size of the forum? I know it's not exactly a full-fledged forum - just an additional service - but in 50 years' time I might not be able to read these small characters!

about small characters:

Andy, the way to do this is use relative size of fonts and let people use their browser option to select the size.

That way we would be able to read it in 50 years, and have the small fonts now.

About the postcard functionality:

yes it lets us choose between 6 photo's. Would it not be more interesting if we would just pic a photo out of all available and send that perticular one?

Cheers,

Maurice
