Has anybody any suggestions on how to encourage new members to put a little information their profile, it would be easier to welcome a new member if I knew a little more about them other than just name and gender. Regards to all, Tony.

Yes, this one is not easy. Some of the fields have been made mandatory, and although suggestions were made in the past, we eventually decided that making more fields mandatory might not be the best way to go.
I am still in favour for making a couple of fields mandatory, such as the geo location (although I realise that it is relatively hard for the new joiners to navigate to the correct geo location when they sign up - Andy, maybe there is a different way to lead them to the city (they could choose the country first from an alphabetical list, and then a city from that country, also from an alphabetical list - by clicking on a letter and then selecting one... ?) and maybe age group.
However, perhaps we could introduce points system. Similarly to the 50 points for uploading a profile photo.
